    MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR DEPARTMENT: Rural Health Education & Services - Administration

    Communications POSITION TITLE: Marketing and Communications Coordinator JOB FAMILY GROUP: Professional Staff JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The primary function of this position is to create, enhance and coordinate marketing campaigns to grow Rural Health Education and Services' (RHES) client base. This position serves as a key role in coordinating our digital marketing efforts. Coordinator is responsible for analyzing and tracking marketing efforts, evaluating effectiveness, and making recommendations for future plans/campaigns for RHES. Coordinator will manage and/or assist with various RHES activities and initiatives including the Rural Kansas Photography Contest and Institute for Community Engagement electronic newsletter. Coordinator will manage social media outlets and contribute to video production and maintenance of the RHES website. This position has the potential to work in-office or a combination of in-office and remotely. Anticipated hiring range: $22.00 - $22.60 per hour for 30 hours per week Comprehensive Benefits Package: Day one benefits available! This position is located in Wichita, Kansas JOB DESCRIPTION: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Multi-Media Design, Marketing, or related field or equivalent years of experience can substitute for education on a year to year basis. WORK EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in marketing or communications and one year of experience managing social media content, calendars and analytics. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Creative writing, content creation, and editing.
    • Creating and distributing digital emails.
    • Creating marketing campaigns, web site management, database
    • management, and event promotions.
    • Promoting services and growing a client base.
    • High interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to relate well
    • with others and communicate effectively.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple
    • projects.
    • Team player and self-starter.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Graphic design concepts and software including Adobe Creative
    • Suite.
    • Proficient in creating, editing and posting video content with social
    • integration.
    • Experience promoting rural Kansas or working in healthcare field.
    • Maintaining and updating content-management based website.
    • Exhibiting and event planning.

    JOB DUTIES OUTLINED:

    • Participates in the development of the strategic marketing plan for RHES. Creates and coordinates marketing plan and materials to build a client base for all RHES services. Fosters strong relationships with current clients.
    • Manages the client database and tracks service usage across RHES.
    • Assists with running the Rural Kansas Photography Contest.
    • Writes short articles to promote RHES services and success stories, including Provider Spotlights and news features.
    • Promotes and participates in special projects/events for RHES and/or state-wide initiatives as directed. Participates in virtual or in-person events as RHES representative.
    • Coordinates and manages digital marketing efforts for RHES and the Institute for Community Engagement.
    • Creates, posts, manages and provides analytics for social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
    • Reviews web sites within the Institute of Community Engagement and makes recommendations for enhancement and optimal usability. Assists in editing and serves as liaison with web development team.
    • Creates, distributes, and tracks effectiveness of digital email campaigns.
    • Coordinates video production including creating, editing, and distributing.
    • Attends meetings and conferences as appropriate. Assists in developing presentation topics for submission to present at hosted, local and/or national conferences/workshops.
    • Provides administrative support to the Director and Marketing and Resource Manager. Provides support to other staff, both on Wichita and Kansas City campuses. Assists in preparing budget for area of responsibility.
