Job Description

We are looking for a results-driven and confident, experienced financial controller to manage and improve our organization's financial performance and direct our accounting operations. Duties for the financial controller will include managing accounting records, overseeing and improving monthly close process, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, ensure tax reporting compliance, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information. Shared service central experience or conceptual understanding a plus.

Your exceptional functional proficiency in the areas of accounting and control as a financial controller will aid our organization in providing clear transparency to our operating performance and aid in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, improving our financial close process.

The ideal candidate should possess well developed understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, be highly organized, and have excellent leadership skills. The noteworthy financial controller should streamline our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports and monthly statements, train staff on business finance issues, promote regulatory compliance.

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensuring timely and accurate accounting of business transactions

· Oversee monthly close process and prepare monthly financial statements

· Analyzing financial data.

· Monitoring internal controls.

· Overseeing and preparing and analyzing monthly income statements.

· Manage accounting staff

· Streamlining accounting functions and operations to support multisite manufacturer

· Assist CFO in evaluating and managing risk.

· Coordinating financial audit with outside auditor and respond to all info requests.

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER REQUIREMENTS:

· Undergrad or Master's degree in accounting or equivalent; CPA desirable.

· 3-5 years working experience as a financial controller

· Proven experience in finance management.

· Good communication skills.

· Strong leadership qualities.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.

· Experience in managing financial audit process and responding to auditor requests.

· Compliance oriented.

· Proficiency in ERP systems, e.g., Microsoft Business Central .

· Analytical skills.

LOCATION: MONTEBELLO, CA

REPORTING TO: CFO

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 5 - 15%

SALARY: 140,000K-175,000K YR DOE
