Responsibilities: • Perform Pedo Prophies • Chairside assist doctors • Float assisting • Assemble instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area, positioning instruments for the dentist’s access, suctioning, and passing instruments • Educate patients by giving oral hygiene instructions • Contribute to team effort by helping where needed • Welcome the patient and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during their appointment • Assure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use • Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team • Answer any questions the patient may have about dental hygiene, schedule appointments for patient care follow-up, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patient's teeth and gums, after procedures • Evaluate and document vital signs for patients and update medical records Qualifications: • Dental assistance or schooling is given preference • Experience with children • Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are essential Compensation: $21 - $33 hourly
