JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Therapist is responsible for provision of clinical assessments, treatment plans, and mental health services to referred youth and adults from Fresno County. The Staff Therapist provides outpatient mental health counseling to identified youth and adult referrals with mental health disorders. The Staff Therapist promotes higher levels of wellness, stability, and quality of life, assists in the prevention of acute psychiatric episodes, and assists the client in lessening the debilitating effects of mental disorders.
COMPENSATION — $35.00/HOUR
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and maintains a caseload as assigned by Omid Counseling Center (up to 40 per week).
Conduct Mental Health Assessments and Treatment Plans for newly referred clients.
Provide individual and family psychotherapy services to caseload.
Provide group services as clinically indicated.
Submit Assessments, signed Treatment Plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
Submit weekly invoices for all sessions conducted each week.
Work with Medi-Cal beneficiaries and private pay clients.
Comply with all Omid Counseling Center and program rules, policies and procedures, including HIPAA standards.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
Registered as ACSW, AMFT, or APCC in the State of California through the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
