  • Responsibilities

    Provide IP Visio management support to the Naval Information Warfare Command (NIWC) in support of the MHS enclave Infrastructure and Application Transition task under Med-COI. This project includes the large scale technical and logistical coordination of network transition at over 120 military medical sites worldwide. This position requires proven project control skills and attention to details and tasks needed to provide accurate and timely information to our Federal client. This position requires some evening, night and weekend work.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide project reporting, including detailed project status reporting
    • Respond to inquiries on detailed project activities.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with project team members and stakeholders to facilitate completion of project objectives.
    • Facilitate or lead meetings, teleconferences, and web conferences to collect information needed for project tasks or schedules.
    • Capture, track, and follow-up on action items.
    • Respond to inquiries on detailed project activities.
    • Document project requirements.
    • Exercise management skills to maintain excellent client relationships.
    • Understand and contribute to risk management and schedule management
    • Ability to plan resources and develop work breakdown structures
    • Possess strong situational awareness and ability to navigate complex client cultures and environments.
    • Well-developed and proven communications skills – both verbal and written.
    • Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project)

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Familiarity with DoD terminology, organizational structure and culture.
    • Experience with MS Visio
    • Recent work experience in project or program management support.
    • Prior relevant experience with MHS or Military Service medical systems.
    • Familiarity with the DoD-MHS Ports and Protocols Services (PPS) and associated process.
    • Experience with large scale deployments and associated logistics, and logistical challenges related to an effort involving changes to networks, application/hosting infrastructure, and application software.
    • Prior experience with projects affecting mission critical applications and operations of sites using these applications
    • Familiarity with Network IP address management and assignment
    • Requires large amount of data entry with Excel
    • Secret Clearance Preferred or ability to obtain

  • Qualifications

    Responsible for instruction and facilitating student learning; committed to student recruitment, retention and success; assessment of learning, development of curriculum and use of instructional delivery modes utilizing both traditional and non-traditional methodology.

    • Math: Teaching developmental mathematics courses.
    • English: English instruction in conference-led classes and the classroom.
    • Reading: Includes Developmental & 100 Level Reading.
    • College Success: Teaching College Success Seminar (CSS 100A) to help students develop the skills and abilities necessary to become successful college students

    Minimum two years' professional experience in industry. Teaching experience at the college level; demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities and cultures; experience with instructional technology; knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement innovative teaching strategies.

    • Math: Master's Degree in Math or Education with an emphasis in Math
    • English: Master's Degree in English
    • Reading: Master's Degree in Reading
    • College Success: Master's Degree (Education or Psychology preferred)

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Teach assigned course which may include day, night, and online courses, as well as at the main campus and extension centers. Classes are to meet on time for the full allotted time.
    2. Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximize documented student learning.
    3. Prepare, submit and maintain reports related to student learning.
    4. Grading assignments in a meaningful way to promote continued student growth, returning graded assignments to students in a timely manner, and assigning final grades for all students, meeting or beating all institutional deadlines for completion.
    5. Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled and posted times (i.e., office hours) or by appointment.
    6. Ensure student opinion surveys are conducted for each class and then reviewed after summary information available to assist with increasing student success.
    7. Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise.
    8. Perform other duties as assigned.
