Job Title: Startup Sales Engineer
Company: UpScale Network Technologies, Inc. (to be re-branded upon product launch)

UpScale is a smart and well-positioned pre-seed startup on a mission to make Engineers’ jobs easier and revolutionize the way businesses scale their distributed systems. Our groundbreaking technology, currently at MVP stage, offers a technically proven and disruptive solution to the challenges of balancing scale, speed, and data integrity in distributed systems across various industries from Cloud Computing/SaaS to Multiplayer gaming, Finance, and Critical Systems in transportation and government. By securely accelerating the rate of consensus and other distributed coordination activities by a factor of 50-60x, our product enables unprecedented scale while automating critical data integrity features that otherwise come with expensive or painful tradeoffs in latency and availability.
We are eligible for WOSB and other small business set-aside contracts from the federal government, so experience with government contracting is a plus. Our dual-use business goals require a strong hiring preference for citizens of the United States and allied countries.
We are preparing to launch our B2B platform-as-a-service virtual appliance on leading cloud marketplaces, enabling businesses to seamlessly scale their operations while optimizing performance and efficiency. In 2024 we plan to launch our physically emplaced, high-end hardware version for use in the private clouds of mission-critical core services providers in Healthcare, Finance, and Government.
Position Overview:
This is no ordinary b2b software sales position. We are seeking a talented, driven and high-performing Startup Sales Engineer to lead our sales approach. As one of our first hires, you will play a critical role in deeply understanding, contextualizing, and communicating our product-market fit in a broad range of markets and industries.
This entails a deep understanding of the relationships among the following:
