    Job Title: CW Automated Driving Senior System Design Engineer

    Location: Ann Arbor, MI
    **This team is currently working a hybrid schedule, 3 days a week in the office and the other 2 days are based upon the work item thus the schedule could work up to 5 days in the office.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop systems and applications for future ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) for North American developed vehicles.
    • Create business case and identify customer needs for ADAS through data driven assessment.
    • Engineer system/functional performance requirements and hardware/software requirements for realize ADAS integration into vehicle platforms.
    • Publish engineering requirements/specifications.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to commercialize high quality ADAS into mass production vehicles.?
    • Design and develop software in Python/C++ languages in Linux OS.
    • Responsible for function verification to meet customer requirements.
    • Propose new innovative ideas, identify customer needs for ADAS through data driven assessment of technology, market, and social trends. Create innovative ADAS development proposals to drive the development of high value new technology features.
    • Project management - maintain schedules, maintain open issues, visualize project status, manage deliverables to multiple stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor/Masters of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Robotics engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical engineering, or equivalent.
    • Experience in developing functional, system requirements for vehicle software applications (5 yr)
    • Experience with automotive/robotic sensor technology: ex. camera, radar (1 yr)
    • Experience with design FMEA/FTA/DRBFM, problem investigation, root-cause investigation (1 yr)
    • Software development skills in Python/C++ languages in Linux OS (3 yr)
    • Excellent project management, time management and task prioritization skills.?
    • Experience in software development, design architecture
    • Clear and concise presentation skills, both written and oral, with consideration to international audiences. ?
    • Experience building business cases for new innovative technology.

    **What you may bring

    Master of Science degree in Computer science, Computer engineering, Robotics engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical engineering, or equivalent. 

    Experience in ADS technologies

    Experience in deriving technical specifications for automotive camera systems, HMI screen layout.

    Experience with LVDS camera communications.

    Validate functional performance through evaluation, including design and assembly of data acquisition systems on vehicle and/or test bench

    Status: Long term Contract-1 year

    Hours per week: 40, FT

    Compensation range: $52/hr

    Remote option: Hybrid
