    Job Title: Youth and Family Program Manager

    Location: Macomb, MI

    Description: Under the direction of a Branch Operations Director, the Youth and Family Program Manager is responsible for the development and operations of various programs (Day Camp, sports, youth, teens, and family engagement), as well as focus on developing high quality, innovative programs that will grow the local impact, multiply the Y mission and engage more youth, teens, and families in YMCA programs.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manages, directs and coordinates youth, teen, and family programs including day camp, youth sports, youth and teen programs, family activities, and special events for the Macomb branch. Delivers high-quality programs and implements new program activities.
    • Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel, camp staff and volunteers.
    • Works with the Branch Operations Director to ensure the programs operate within budget.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with community partners, school administration, parent groups and other organizations
    • Responds to all parent, member, and community inquiries in a timely manner
    • Performs other assigned duties as directed by Supervisor

    Requirements:

    • High School degree is required. Associates Degree or education equivalent in recreation or related field is preferred. Two years of experience working in a recreation, education or family programming setting.
    • Experience in management, administration, supervision, curriculum and program planning and implementation is preferred.
    • Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
