Job Description

We are seeking an Upstream Bioprocess Scientist to join a dynamic team focused on developing and optimizing mammalian cell culture processes for recombinant proteins and biologics supporting early- and late-phase clinical trials.

In this role, you will:

• Execute mammalian cell culture experiments using shake flasks, bench-top bioreactors, and scale-down models.
• Develop robust, scalable, and high-productivity upstream processes that meet product quality requirements for therapeutic proteins.
• Collaborate with clinical manufacturing teams to ensure accurate technology transfer and successful large-scale production.
• Maintain high-quality documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks and communicate results effectively to stakeholders.
• Contribute to safe, efficient, and continuous improvement of lab operations.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience, OR
  • Master’s degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience
  • Field of study: Biotechnology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong aseptic technique (required)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear and effective oral and written communication
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Details:

This is a full-time, onsite position based on a first-shift schedule Monday through Friday, with overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Andover, MA, are strongly encouraged to apply.
