    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position is the front-line administrator for the Assembly & Manufacturing team. The Production Coordinator is responsible for supervising, supporting, coordinating the work of the Assembly & Manufacturing Team to effectively and efficiently increase production along with the Production Manager. Additional responsibilities include approval of timecards, participating in hiring processes, coaching, counseling.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include the following: other duties may be assigned)

    • Forecast scheduling requirements needed on the production floor to achieve our production targets
    • Drawing take-offs and labor and cost estimatio
    • Serve as information center for technical information and consult with sales team on proper application of products if applicable
    • Work with the Manufacturing Team, Sales and customer to understand requirements of the project to ensure the work proceeds on spec and facilitate smooth transition to customer
    • Expedite all work orders by delegating assignments to leads and their areas
    • Provide the most efficient and effective utilization of available sources for production needs; personnel, tools, training etc.
    • Implementation of process’s that will improve the flow of material
    • Minimize and reduce the cost on projects & personnel with analysis on a periodic basis with corrective and preventive action
    • Process all work order variances and after sale service and support
    • Assist the production team with various phases of assemblies, panel layout, population, wiring etc.
    • Daily promotion of a Safety Culture in the MFG department
    • Build team spirit and moral by motivation and personnel involvement
    • Attend to and support personnel needs as required
    • Other duties and/or projects as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

            EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • ELECTRICAL, INDUSTRIAL AND/OR DISTRIBUTION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University; or

    • 3+ years of Operations and Management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Forklift certified- internal

    • Working knowledge of UL 508a and NFPA 79

    • Working experience and knowledge of OSHA safety standard regulations – production areas

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have strong project management skills
    • Must have a strong working knowledge of drawing take-off along with labor and cost estimating skills
    • Ability to create and maintain assigned work orders in Eclipse
    • Must have strong computer skills in WINDOWS; MS Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Adobe Acrobat & file navigation
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to articulate proficiently
    • Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Must be detail oriented and focused
    • Must be versatile and have strong multi-task skills
    • Must have Advanced Math skills
    • Must have knowledge and use of power tools
    • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
    • Must demonstrate good time management skills
    • Must possess strong planning, organizational and execution skills
    • Must have the ability to set goals and meet deadlines
    • Must possess excellent customer service skills
