Benefits: • Health Insurance • Vision Insurance • Dental Insurance Responsibilities: • Prepares all necessary ingredients for meals by following instructions from the restaurant manager, head chef, or senior cook • Peels, trims, slices, and divides raw ingredients, such as meat and produce, for meal preparation • Constructs simple dishes, like salads and appetizers, as specified • Creates condiments, dressings, and sauces • Ensures compliance with safety and health regulations for the kitchen • Helps to receive, inspect, and store new ingredients and supplies • Performs additional tasks as needed Qualifications: • Ability to learn sanitation and workplace safety regulations • Working knowledge of food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures • Demonstrated ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively • Committed to personal hygiene • Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and working in a kitchen setting • Has the capacity to lift up to 15 pounds as necessary • Flexibility to work evenings and special events, if needed • Possesses manual dexterity to cut, dice, and perform other kitchen-related tasks Compensation: $14 - $17 hourly
