    Job Description

    Urban Balance's mission is to provide accessible and insurance-friendly therapy to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Our therapists collectively practice from a holistic, strengths-based approach that allows them to individualize their treatment methods. Specialties such as addictions, couples, and EMDR certification, as well as spiritually-based therapists, are also valued.

    We are currently hiring independently licensed psychotherapists (e.g., LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist) for our locations. Thanks to our efficient processes, talented administrative staff, and dedicated intake department, our therapists can spend their time focusing on their client's health and wellbeing. Therapists enjoy a collaborative and collegial work environment with a full spectrum of mental health clinicians. We offer flexible hours that support work-life balance and help us meet client needs. Candidates are expected to work at least 12 hours per week and a minimum of two weeknights and one-weekend shift.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess clients to determine fit for outpatient treatment and establish a provisional diagnosis and initial treatment plan.
    • Conduct individual, group, couples, and/or family therapy following state regulations and professional licensure laws.
    • Complete all required clinical documentation to support services provided.
    • If necessary, provide crisis intervention services to clients to ensure risk levels are properly managed and triaged to a higher level of care as appropriate.
    • Maintain scheduling of all active clients to ensure clinical needs are being met.
    • Collect client payments seamlessly using our EHR, based on quotes received.
    • Maintain collaboration with the client's referring physician/professional to ensure optimum care and support level.
    • Participate in consultation or supervision following licensure laws.
