    We are seeking a Senior Operations Manager, who will work within our Affiliate Summit and Traffic & Conversion show management teams in our Trumbull, CT / Clarion UX office. This will be a dual role and will be closely involved with the teams and key stakeholders to discuss a successful portfolio of events including new launches. To be successful as the Senior Operations Manager with the Affiliate Summit and Traffic & Conversion division, the candidate should have 3-5 years’ operations experience with excellent ability to communicate and manage team members.

    In general, the Senior Operations Manager is accountable to:

    Responsible for ordering and managing operational deliverables including but not limited to: Catering, Rigging, Audio Visual, Carpet, Furniture, IT, Electrics, Security and Stand Fitting/Design

    Assist Head of Operations to improve look and feel of all shows by designing features and enhancing signage

    Manage day to day budgets – including working with the finance team to manage cash flow and make timely payment to vendors/suppliers

    Main point of contact for exhibitors - responsible for fulfilling all SpEx packages

    Produce and deliver timely information to exhibitors and sponsors including the exhibitor manual and technical information

    Support producer in fulfilling speakers requests and sharing key event information

    Post show evaluation, analysis of operational delivery and customer service - write reports and create new deliverables for future shows

    Create key health & safety document and meet H&S guidelines in the US

    Attend internal training and external events to keep abreast with the US market

    Respond quickly and calmly to requests from speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and customers

    Day to day management of the Customer Service Executives including setting clear goals and objectives for appraisals

    Assist Head of Operations in coaching and mentoring the Operations Team

    Lead by example - implement best practices and streamline processes

    Build strong relationships with Stakeholders internally and externally

    Meet strategic event objectives - working with Event Directors, Co-Founders and other team departments

    Support Head of Operations with ad-hoc tasks and projects where required

    What’s Required to Succeed as the Senior Operations Manager:

    3 – 5 years’ exhibition experience

    Experience in negotiating, contracting and managing with vendors/suppliers

    Proven management experience including recruitment and appraisal reviews

    Budget and cost containment experience

    Health & safety knowledge and understanding

    Demonstrate leadership skills, with strategy and planning experience

    Analytical mind and superiors interpretational skills

    A fluent and excellent communicator at all levels; confident decision-maker

    Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills

    Excellent people management and motivational skills

    Visionary, opportunistic and entrepreneurial
