We are a rapidly growing company - and we need to expand our team of FinTech rock stars by hiring a CONTROLLER! This is a full-time role that will be responsible for providing leadership to accounting and finance functions and have a strong background in financial statement preparation and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the start-up environment and have a proven track record of managing multiple priorities at once to support and fulfill the strategic objectives of a highly cross-functional organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES THE BELOW BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Oversee processes for accounting transactions including AP, AR, GL, inventory and fixed assets.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulatory, tax and management reporting requirements.
• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, and expenses to deliver reporting packages for senior management.
• Maintain all aspects of the company financial statements including preparing complex journal entries, allocation of costs, budgets, bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Recommends and develops policies, procedures and systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, enact cost management programs and contribute financial rigor to company decision making.
• Maintain and update the preparation of the company's annual budget, monitor operating results and update forecasts; provide ad hoc reporting to executive team.
• Develop reports for internal and external use including management and departmental reports.
• Prepare supporting documents for the external audit.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Controller: 5 years (preferred).
• A valid CPA, MA or other related accounting designation (preferred).
• Expert/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Extensive technical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows) experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities. Experience with SQL, VBA or other automation tools a big plus but not required.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
• Must be a self-starter and enjoys hands on responsibilities, with a mind geared towards process improvements.
• Flexible team player that is looking to thrive in a fast growing and often times uncertain environment.
