Urbanspace is one of the most influential food hall creators in America. Starting with our first project near Grand Central Station in New York City, Urbanspace curates and develops immersive culinary destinations where creative entrepreneurship and community flourish. Urbanspace's mission is to connect small business owners and chefs with curious creativity-seeking guests. Additional expansions to Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the DMV are underway, with more on the horizon.

The City Executive is a unique new role at Urbanspace, combining hands-on field work with business and sales acumen. You'll be the front line of growth at one of the fastest growing foodhall operators in the world. In this role, you will work closely with our brand experience department to help curate events and help grow our partner network and ensure top quality guest experiences.

The CE will be responsible for overseeing that specific city and manage the General and Assistant Managers for each of our foodhalls.  He/she will be the liaison between the managers and our corporate (HQ) team.  This person needs to OWN their city and are responsible for top-line revenue growth and everything that comes with that!

PRE-OPENING DUTIES:

• Leverage your network of contacts
• Generate buzz, introduce the Brand and bring the Urbanspace story to the city
• Create a popup market strategy
• Start connecting with local chefs
• Recruit and manage brokers

ONGOING DUTIES:

• ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT & RELATIONSHIPS - you'll be the face of Urbanspace and need to build strong relationships with staff and executives across our vendor network
• HOSPITALITY & CURATION – oversee the creation and curation of events and work closely with foodhall management to ideate on and execute special events and group sales activities on-site (catering, private parties, etc.) at a superior service level
• MARKETING PROGRAM ROLLOUT - build on relationships to sell and expand Urbanspace's unique digital marketing and engagement programs at our vendor partners across your city, including loyalty programs and promotional campaigns
• PERFORMANCE METRICS - maintain city-wide guest experiences, operational metrics, and top-line revenue growth and constantly strive to improve cost, efficiency, and guest service among all of the foodhalls in your city
• BROKER RELATIONS - assure that the broker is carrying out their broker duties and liaison between the broker and corporate team
• CORPORATE INITIATIVES - roll out and coordinate corporate initiatives impacting site space (e.g., branding changes, systems upgrades, etc.) to ensure successful, on-time rollouts

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have a strong instinct for hospitality and know what it takes to create memorable guest experiences
• Have entrepreneur spirit, creative mind, dare to dream big
• Have your hand on the pulse of food trends
• Able to be disciplined to work remotely and fully own your city
• Have 10 years of experience in a similar industry role. Experience with franchised businesses or retail preferred
• Certified Food Manager and ABC Manager certified is a plus
• Are a very strong communicator and team player, and able to align different parties into a shared vision and execution plan
• Have a leadership mindset, willing to take initiative and follow problems through to resolution
• Have excellent decision-making skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Skilled in problem solving methodologies
• Have a general understanding about financial aspects of business operations – bonuses are additional proficiencies in all or any of the following tools: Yardi, Trinet, Microsoft Office Suite, Square POS, Lutron, GSuite, and Dropbox
• Are passionate about growing and strengthening entrepreneurial activity in the F&B space, and cultivating strong relationships with both customers and Vendors
• Certified Food Manager and ABC Manager certified is a plus
