Urgent Care Physician – Erie, PA (VA Medical Center)

Location: Erie, PA
Facility: Erie VA Medical Center – Urgent Care Center
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, 7 days/week (flexible shifts)
Start Date: May 1, 2026

Compensation

• $160 per hour
• Weekly pay options available
• Malpractice insurance covered

Position Overview
You will provide urgent care services to veterans in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and coordinate care for a wide range of acute conditions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in urgent care setting
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Document all care in electronic medical record (EMR)
• Stabilize and transfer patients when higher level care is required
• Provide discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Collaborate with VA clinical staff

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted MD or DO license (any state)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in urgent care environment

Schedule Details

• Coverage needed 7 days per week
• Flexible scheduling available
• Minimum 40 hours per week
