    Job Summary

Do you dream of practice ownership? Would you like to practice excellent medicine and work towards practice ownership at the same time?

We are seeking a compassionate full-time (3-5 shifts per week) Associate Veterinarian who is interested in true veterinary medicine and practice ownership to join our team at this independent, privately-owned, established and growing small animal exclusive practice in the beautiful countryside of New Prague, Minnesota (SW Metro Minnesota, 45 minutes from the Twin Cities). The practice is currently a 2.0 FTE, but with room to grow indefinitely.

This position will allow for a 1-year, well-paid position for a full-time veterinarian (you will work 30+ hours/week, minimum M-W-F), while you are being trained to manage the practice, monitor financials, and lead our team. Real estate will be available for purchase at transition time.

You will primarily provide primary care and urgent care services to dogs and cats. Daily responsibilities will include examinations, wellness exams and treating illness/injury urgent care cases, conducting diagnostics on sick pets, performing sedation procedures and soft tissue surgeries, prescribing medications, conducting follow-up care as needed, as well as learning and supporting and learning the administrative and financial dealings of the practice, giving you ample time to evaluate and move forward with the practice ownership transition.

We do a large volume of wellness and urgent care cases, have a large, trained support team, and we have awesome clientele. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you.

Our recently remodeled clinic is complete with digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house lab, private surgical suite, large treatment area, updated technology, and an ample, experienced staff. The caseload is varied and interesting. This is a great place to call home, if you possess the personal strength, leadership skills, and the diagnostic and surgical skills necessary to meet the demands of this position! Flexible schedule (3-5 days per week) and competitive compensation with full-time benefits including a year-end production bonus for someone working at least four shifts per week (3 days (9a-5p), and one morning urgent care shift weekly(9a-2p)). No overnight shifts, on-call or weekends!
