JOB TITLE: PERSONAL INJURY COLLECTOR LOCATION: WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA DURATION: CONTRACT-TO-HIRE

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is seeking a Personal Injury Collector reporting directly to the PI Collections Supervisor. The Personal Injury Collector is responsible for the status of accounts and collecting funds from attorneys. This position is based in Westlake Village, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Statuses accounts and collecting funds from attorneys

• Allocating and combining medical records

• Meets weekly and monthly collection targets consistently

• Digs in and collect monies as quickly as possible

• Creates collection letters in the form of emails, faxes, and outgoing mail to clients

• Makes continuous telephone calls daily

• Communicates effectively on the phone in the persistent execution of responsibilities

• Achieves quarterly measurements and incentive goals REQUIREMENTS:

• High School or GED required, some college preferred

• Must have group health insurance knowledge and collections experience

• 3+ years' experience working in the medical or legal fields.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with EMR

• Strong written communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Able to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines

• Ability to demonstrate appropriate interpersonal communication skills

• Proficient in Windows system and Microsoft Office; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Acrobat

• Ability to type 45 wpm

• Ability to work at the computer while on the telephone 8 hours a day
