PROPOSAL WRITER
We have a Contract opportunity for a Proposal Writer here at Useful Staffing, Inc. The Proposal Writer position is responsible for writing thorough, accurate, and articulate proposals in response to solicitations. This opportunity is instrumental in the marketing and growth of the organization’s mission therefore the ideal candidate will have strong writing, research and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop clear and concise written proposals in response to various state and local government solicitations
Engage in the process from open to close, to include: information gathering, adhering to deadlines, follow up and submission of proposals
Manage multiple proposals simultaneously without sacrificing quality of output
Serve as an organization representative by attending appropriate solicitation meetings to gather pertinent information
Prepare final submission and deliver in accordance with the required specifications
Maintain a database of clients, projects and successful proposal submissions
Stay abreast of market trends (clients/projects), to ensure the success of future proposal submissions
Requirements:
1 - 3 years experience in business proposal writing
Demonstrated ability to produce quality writing materials
Excellent attention to detail to effectively proofread and edit documents
Must work independently, be self-motivated, and possess excellent follow up skills
Strong organization, interpersonal and multitasking skills
Solid oral and written communication skills
Technical:
Proficiency in using Microsoft office
Formal proposal training preferred

Duration of contract: 1 - 3 months with an extension possibility
