Staffing Internship (Unpaid)

Job Description:

An immediate opening for an Human Resources Intern to join our staffing team, here at Useful Staffing Inc. This is a great opportunity to gain real world Human Resources experience in the Staffing industry; shadowing one of our experienced Recruiters.

Responsibilities:

Assist Recruiters with daily full life cycle recruiting tasks.

Duties are as follows but not limited to:

• Assist with daily applicant correspondence (drafting emails, letters, and documents using office automation software).

• Assist with researching and following up on client and applicant telephone inquiries

• Assist with preparing on-boarding (new hire) paperwork

• Assist with attending community outreach events (Job Fairs) at local Colleges and Universities.

• Other projects as assigned

Education:

• Current or Recent college graduate with or pursuing a two or four year degree; Preferably with a Business, Human Resources, or Psychology Major.

• Must possess a strong desire to learn the field as the environment is very fast paced and ever changing.

• Must be flexible and have a "can and will do" attitude.

• Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary.

Technical:

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and any Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Skype, Zoom, and other similar virtual meeting platforms.

Timeline:

Monday through Friday - Hours are flexible (at least 5-20 hours per week)

Summer: May - August 2020

Demonstrated ability to succeed in this Internship may convert to a regular paid position. Note: Due to this position being virtual, SSL credits are not available.
