USER ASSISTANCE DEVELOPER, SAP DATA CUSTODIAN

Palo Alto, CA

User Assistance Developers at SAP are the bridge between the products we build and the customers who use them. We’re looking for a highly motivated user assistance developer to join our SAP Multi Cloud team. As a member of our team, you’ll support the release of new features in SAP’s innovative cloud security product, SAP Data Custodian. In this role, you’ll support our team’s global strategic initiatives including creating task-oriented content for our customers, leveraging data insights to drive content strategy, and exploring the connection between in-product support, taxonomy, structured content and how they work together to foster customer loyalty.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver high-quality assets that align with SAP standards and guidelines
• Actively research and develop product knowledge to foster a deep understanding of the target audience
• Develop and maintain product help documentation, including user guides, release notes, system messages, wiki pages, etc.
• Craft UX microcopy and messages for user interfaces
• Coordinate language translation and content localization projects
• Manage product websites and help develop messaging for marketing material
• Work closely with product, engineering, UX, and other subject matter experts to produce high quality deliverables

 REQUIRED SKILLS

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Some professional experience as a technical writer or user assistance developer, journalist, or researcher
• Familiarity with component content management systems like DITA CMS and structured authoring
• A self-directed critical thinker
• A strong interest in new technology
• Comfortable managing your own time and multiple tasks
• Some knowledge of UX writing principles

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Undergraduate degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, Communications, Science related discipline or equivalent work experience
