Summary: Leads the strategic design and execution of comprehensive user research programs to improve IRS taxpayer-facing digital services and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute research plans for usability testing, taxpayer interviews, and longitudinal user studies.
Synthesize findings into actionable insights and recommendations for IRS development teams.
Establish and maintain research methodologies that comply with accessibility (Section 508) and privacy standards.
Oversee research quality assurance and insight validation processes.
Mentor junior researchers and moderators.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, or related field.
7+ years of UX research experience, with at least 4 years leading research programs.
Extensive portfolio of moderated usability testing and interview projects.
Experience with sensitive or government audiences preferred.
Proficiency in research platforms (UserTesting, Qualtrics, Dovetail, etc.).
