    Position Overview

    Traco is seeking an experienced Uteco Onyx Flexographic Press Operator to join our high-performance production team. This is a critical role for a skilled professional who can confidently operate, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced flexographic equipment. You’ll play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality output while meeting production deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.     Responsibilities

    • Set up, operate, and monitor the Uteco Onyx flexographic press.
    • Review job specifications and production requirements prior to each run.
    • Install, align, and adjust plates, cylinders, inks, and other press components.
    • Use color measurement tools (densitometers/spectrophotometers) to ensure accuracy.
    • Inspect output for color consistency, registration, and overall quality.
    • Make real-time adjustments to maintain standards and minimize waste.
    • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment.
    • Accurately record production data and quality checks.
    • Collaborate with team members and communicate issues promptly.
    • Meet production schedules and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Proven experience operating a Uteco Onyx press strongly preferred (or similar high-end flexographic equipment)
    • Ability to independently set up, run, and troubleshoot complex jobs
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and press adjustment skills
    • In-depth knowledge of ink systems, color management, and print quality standards
    • Experience using color measurement tools
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Basic computer skills for production tracking
    • Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing in English

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
    • Full range of motion including bending, reaching, and climbing
    • Ability to climb press stairs multiple times per shift
    • Strong visual acuity, including the ability to distinguish fine color variations and detect defects

    Work Schedule & Environment

    • Full-time position in a production/manufacturing environment
    • Shift flexibility and overtime may be required based on production demands
    • Fast-paced setting working with printing equipment, inks, and materials
    • Must follow all safety procedures and quality standards
