The Utilities & Transportation professional serves as a critical liaison between electric, telecommunications, and other utility providers and transportation agencies on complex rail and transit infrastructure projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    Utility & Transportation Interface

    Utilities Expertise

    Support testing, energization, and commissioning of relocated and new utility infrastructure, including permanent and temporary power systems.

    Coordinate with rail and transit stakeholders on:

    Traction Power Substations (TPSS)

    SCADA and communications interfaces

    Power distribution for stations, platforms, yards, and maintenance facilities

    Interface with utility providers on interconnections, load studies, redundancy, and network reliability.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

    5+ years of experience working with electric utilities and telecommunications providers.

    5+ years of demonstrated experience supporting transportation or rail projects, including metro or light rail expansions.

    Strong working knowledge of: Electric power distribution and transmission systems, dry and wet utility coordination processes

    Rail traction power concepts and infrastructure

    PMP, PE, or similar professional credentials are a plus.
