Travel Requirement: 3-4 weeks minimum at a time/1 week off
Per Diem: $205 (covering 7 days per week if working 6 days)

Job Description:
As a Utility Survey Technician Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting land surveyors and utility locating technicians by helping precisely identify and map underground utilities at renewable energy sites. This position involves extensive fieldwork, requiring you to travel to various locations and use state-of-the-art equipment, including RD utility locating and Trimble survey systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the operation of utility locating equipment to identify and mark underground utilities, ensuring accurate data collection and safety.
- Support land surveyors in surveying activities, including using Trimble equipment for measuring and mapping precise locations of utilities and survey points.
- Conduct extensive walking in outdoor environments, covering up to 10 miles per day to access various project sites.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient field operations and timely completion of projects.
- Maintain and transport surveying and locating equipment to and from worksites.
- Record and document survey data and utility locations to support project requirements and planning.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures while working in various terrains and conditions.
Qualifications:
- Strong aptitude for computers, software, and learning new electronic equipment.
- Familiarity with utility locating techniques and land surveying processes.
- Experience with RD utility locating and Trimble survey equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and walk significant distances daily.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to various job site conditions and challenges.
