**Please note: The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and/or a maintenance or purchasing background. They also need to be comfortable with computers, ideally SAP. Weekend and OT work is expected, especially when the project goes live. Please make sure your candidate is 100% OK with this. Job Title: Data Steward Number of workers needed: 1 Duration: 9 Months Please indicate days/ weeks/ months. Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Will overtime be possible (Y/N): Yes, expected OT as needed. Will weekend work be possible (Y/N): Yes, 8AM - 4:30PM as needed. Work Environment: Production Physical address of work site: 135 Huffman Drive Dayton, VA Dress Code/Required PPE: Long pants (jeans), steel toe shoes, Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Essential function will be to Set up new parts in SAP. Work with vendors on quoting items. Manage master data of all packaging, ingredient, and MRO items for the facility. This will include walking down parts and physically assessing the part and making data recommendations to best suit the plants needs. Work with minimal supervision while meeting strict deadlines. Provide status updates to the master data team and materials managers. Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma Other Required Experience/Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., ability to use measuring tools such as measuring tape, calibers, is unassisted. Work in a fast paced environment and having a sense of urgency for needed items. Must be detail oriented. Additional Preferred Experience/Qualifications: Maintenance background or SAP experience is a plus. Ability to be resourceful on gathering data. Highly able to utilize a computer and essential applications such as Microsoft Office Applications.
