  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY

    Oversee production throughput and produce product within quality specifications. Ensure production process operates safely and efficiently, oversee production process of an area of the plant; and the product produced conforms to the quality specifications. Identify and monitor trends associated with plant production output and quality, and make appropriate process adjustments. Shift work required: 12 hour shifts, 7 days on, 7 days off.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and deal with changes or unexpected events
    • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
    • Take an active role in the safety program by following safety procedures, and report / rectify any unsafe conditions
    • Manage throughput (production targets) and produce product within quality specifications
    • Monitor and troubleshoot process equipment
    • Perform general plant housekeeping duties
    • Perform basic preventive and routine maintenance on the process equipment
    • Assist with training and development of team members
    • Improve plant operations by formulating opinions for improvements and sharing them with the shift supervisor
    • Serve as an excellent safety champion actively promoting Vista’s safety process at all times (a Company ambassador).

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    • High School diploma or GED certification
    • 3+ years of operations, manufacturing, industrial or similar experience
    • Ability to pull samples and read/react to QC results
    • Familiar with the components of the wet-plant or dry-plant
    • Must be able to start/stop plant from HMI
    • Familiar with critical housekeeping areas of the plant
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • The production process is automated, so computer knowledge is desirable
    • Must speak English

    WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE  

    Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Must pass a pre-employment, post-offer drug screen, physical and background check.
