    Job Description

    This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The person in this position will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide services outlined below:

    International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Urologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the urinary tract and male reproductive system. This role encompasses conducting diagnostic examinations, developing comprehensive treatment plans, and educating patients on best practices to enhance urological health. We are committed to providing exceptional care and improving the quality of life for our patients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide clinical urology services including surgeries, consultations cystoscopies and other related urology procedures.
    • Provide direct patient care including specialty exams such as compensation and pension, agent orange, etc., as it pertains to urological conditions.
    • Communicate test results to providers and patients, all test results requiring action must be communicated by the ordering provider, or designee, to patients no later than 7 calendar days from the date on which the results are available. For test results that require no action, results must be communicated within 14 calendar days.
    • Follow policy MCP 11-001 Communication of Test Results to Providers and Veterans.
    • Follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients.
    • Provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all urology clinical or surgical patients.
    • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings with committee participation as required by the facility Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee.
    • Attend staff meetings as required by the facility Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee.
    • Complete the appropriate quality management or process improvement documentation pertaining to all procedures, complications, and outcome of examinations.
    • Follow all established patient safety and infection control standards of care.
    • Make every effort to prevent medication errors, falls, and patient injury caused by acts of commission or omission in the delivery of care.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements/Certifications:

    • Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
    • Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.

    Education Required:

    • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association, Association of American Medical Colleges, Liaison Committee on Medical Education, Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
    • Must Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board Urology (ABU).

    Physical Requirements:

    • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
    • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
    • May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 25 lbs.

    • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
    • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance.

    Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
