We are seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will maintain a cadence conducting the daily accounting functions, servicing a growing company whose clients comprise of individuals, commercial and government agencies. The CPA will have a wide range of responsibilities, including tax preparation, financial reporting, presentations, internal controls, risk management audits, compliance, and various process improvement initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Tax Preparation and Review

    • Preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns and information filings for individual, corporate, partnership, trusts and non-profits.
    • Ensuring all federal and state income tax returns are prepared timely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Perform various aspects of tax compliance, projections, preparing responses to tax notices. Assisting in handling routine audits, questions, and notices from federal or state agencies.
    • Supervise staff in preparation of returns and use of technology as requested.
    • Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients to optimize their tax positions.

    Financial Statement Preparation and Review

    • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for clients in accordance with GAAP.
    • Ensure all financial statements are accurate and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist clients with financial planning and provide insights based on financial statement analysis.

    Audit Preparation and Review

    • Plan and execute audit engagements, including risk assessments and audit strategy development.
    • Prepare and review audit reports and financial documentation.
    • Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and management.

    Qualifications

    · Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.

    · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

    · Minimum of 5 years of experience.

    · Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and auditing standards.

    · Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    · Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    · Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    · Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

    Job location:

    · Hybrid

    Work Schedule:

    · Full-time, Hours may increase during tax season
