VAAXA is a cybersecurity startup in Brookline, MA that focuses on compliance for Department of Defense contractors. We are soon to be a Certified 3rd Party Assessor Organization for CMMC.

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team! This is a work-from-home position with occasional onsite visits to clients if necessary. We are willing to train the right individual with a strong security and network IT background.

Our clients are required to be compliant under NIST 800-171 and soon CMMC in order to bid for DoD contracts. You will analyze customer environments, procedures, and policies to generate a GAP analysis which indicates changes required to become compliant. You will then be involved in the security and technical remediation of the GAP analysis.

Once CMMC certifications are available, you will go through the training and become a CMMC assessor. This will result in assessing clients' environments and certifying that they meet a specific CMMC maturity level.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze customer's environments
• Create GAP analysis
• Perform technical and security remediation of clients environments
• Build client specific policies and procedures
• Assess and certify clients
• Perform periodic risk reviews and audits
• Provide strategies for improving system security
• Help build-out CMMC client rollout product set, documentation, and plan

​QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous compliance and risk management experience a plus
• Previous experience in network security or other related fields
• Knowledge of network security technologies and devices
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and ability to translate security and technical terms to non-technical people
