Our headquarters are located in Kamen, Germany and our Katy, Texas location is the leading subsidiary for the North American market.

    VAHLE, Inc. is currently seeking to a hire a COMMERCIAL INSIDE SALES SPECIALIST for our Katy, Texas location.

    JOB PURPOSE

     The Commercial Inside Sales Specialist will represent the entire range of VAHLE’s electrification and automation products and services. By developing a thorough product knowledge, they will provide efficient, economic and customized recommendations to our customers. The position seeks to anticipate customer needs, including critical thinking to troubleshoot and problem solve and continuously shares knowledge with related departments. This position supports and helps develop customer relationships in all VAHLE market industries. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serves as point-of-contact for customers, actively anticipating customer needs, troubleshooting and providing status updates
    • Actively builds relationships with new and existing customers through exceptional customer service
    • Processes customer requests, quotes and orders accurately and efficiently
    • Follows up on open requests/quotes, tracking account history and customer Purchase Orders
    • Monitors incoming calls and the sales email inbox, answering customer calls and responding to email requests in a timely manner
    • Resolves customer complaints and disputes in accordance with our customer service philosophy
    • Processes customer repair and/or return merchandise orders as required
    • Works in collaboration of other VAHLE teams and related departments to accomplish shared goals:
      • Coordinates with the Operations Department to determine delivery deadlines based on inventory and customer needs
      • Coordinates with Technical Sales Departments to complete technical system orders, layout drawings and engineering products
      • Coordinates with the Outside Sales Manager to support after-sales activity and meet Key Performance Indicators, including order accuracy, follow-up response rate and more
    • Frequently coordinate with other sales team members to enhance knowledge, share best practices, provide feedback and deliver best possible solutions to customers
    • Recommend improvements in order to increase sales, customer service and business partnerships
    • Handle customer service processes for assigned key accounts in close collaboration with designated Outside Sales Manager
    • Perform other duties as required by the nature of the position or as requested by the Senior Sales Specialists

    QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

    • Associate’s degree or higher in a business-related field
    • 3+ years of related job experience in wholesale, distribution or manufacturing industries
      • International business relations, especially with headquarters abroad, preferred
    • Customer service experience, including managing customer accounts, assessing needs, meeting quality standards, resolving complaints, and evaluating technical requirements and specifications
    • Analysis and problem-solving ability
    • Time management and planning skills
    • SAP and CRM software experience
    • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word
    • Results-driven and process-oriented mindset
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Team player
    • Detail-oriented and hands-on mindset
    • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
    • Entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen
    • Intercultural sensitivity and ability to work in an international environment
    • Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge is preferred
