Job Description

Immediate Infant and Toddler Teacher opening in our West Roxbury Childcare Center. We are looking for a creative, nurturing, fun-loving, dependable, and professional EEC certified Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our teaching team. Must be EEC certified or, at minimum, have a college degree or have taken Child Growth and Development or a Child Psychology course. Our small and friendly West Roxbury center is located on the grounds of the VA Hospital in West Roxbury with bright and airy classrooms furnished with new equipment and supplies. (We also have a center at the Jamaica Plain VA Hospital.  

We are an independent, non-profit company that values our teachers and their interests.  We also place a high value on the arts music, dance, and other fine arts and encourage incorporating theses interests into our curricula.

The ideal candidate has experience in creating developmentally appropriate curriculum, possesses common sense skills, a nurturing nature, and enjoys play.  Candidates who possess a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education are preferred as are EEC qualified and experienced early childhood educators. Recent graduates welcome. Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal) are preferred. Good people skills, desire to work with parents, children, and teachers in a friendly, professional center that places a high value on socialization and teamwork. Individuals with any special skills are encouraged to apply and share your skill(s) with the children.
