Vaughn & Melton Consulting Engineers, Inc. – Georgia, is currently seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in our Kennesaw, GA office. The work will consist of project development of infrastructure for land development projects. This candidate will be responsible for the preparation of design plans and construction documents, for projects such as residential, commercial, Industrial, retail. This person will help mentor and oversee entry level personnel, coordinate with engineering staff, develop plans, reports and presentations, and assist with market development and client relations.

The position requires the following qualifications/ requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia required
• GSWCC Level II Design professional
• Ability to design projects and coordinate assignments with multi-disciplinary teams
• Thorough understanding of Georgia Stormwater Management Manual
• Knowledge of MicroStation V8i or AutoCAD
• Preferred knowledge of Inroads or Civil 3D design Software
• Knowledge of hydrology design
• Experience with grading and drainage design
• Experience with proposal and/or fee development
• Ability to build new client relationships while maintaining current client relationships
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
