We are an online platform to book immersive, one-on-one, 4-7 day apprenticeships with master artists and craftsmen around the world - from calligraphy in Japan to bespoke shoemaking in Czech Republic to street art in Buenos Aires, and everything in between. Each VAWAA is a unique way to learn about a culture and allow travelers to become a part of the artist's daily creative process.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    If you're driven by a genuine curiosity for understanding the world, passionate about improving the potential and happiness of people through art & travel, and obsessed with guest experience, with a bag full of stories to prove it, we'd love to hear from you.

    This is a FULL TIME position with an early stage startup and requires flexibility to be based in New York/ Los Angeles/ Mexico City for next 6-8 months. 

    You will be joining the 2 member founding team as a lead guest experience coordinator and have a HUGE impact on the success of the company by scaling the core business.

    As a Guest Experience Coordinator reporting to the CEO/Founder, you will design, organize, and manage guests' experiences in cities around the world and across all artforms.

    RESPONSIBILITIES –

    • Creating the best end-to-end guest experience across all touch points
    • Accurately processing, confirming and managing all guest bookings
    • Preparing guests for travel and VAWAA experience  
    • Communicating proactively with guests and artists using various platforms (Example: Email, Customer.io, Mailchimp)
    • Encouraging & managing post-experience feedback, photos, and reviews
    • Creating content & sharing customer reviews, photos, and stories on VAWAA website,  social and email newsletter.
    • Providing guest support and assistance at all times
    • Building a connection with guests, anticipating and delivering on their aspirations & needs to build a lifelong relationship with the company
    • Generating ideas & executing strategies for acquiring new guest leads and growing the global guest community.
    • Providing assistance in artist curation and experience creation
    • Managing artist photo/videos library  
    • Managing artist calendar
    • Email and social media marketing, outreach, and content creation
    • Raise the bar for creative travel experiences.

    YOU MUST HAVE –

    • 1-3 years of experience in areas of design, hospitality, customer service
    • Trained in arts/design, creative writer, and experience in basic photo/video editing
    • A proven background showing deep understanding of guest needs and an instinctual ability to sell
    • Experience working in an early stage/fast-growing startup, and invest in your own continuous improvement
    • A strong independent work ethic. You strive for excellence and take pride in your work
    • Excellent communication skills - an ability to distill and communicate  complex information in simple ways to non-English native speakers.
    • You're super organized and can multitask like a boss - nothing gets past you
    • You're naturally positive and a people person - we love making others happy
