    Position Primary Purpose & Mission

    **** To assist the Controller with the safeguarding of financial assets with effective internal controls, develop and maintain reporting tools for analysis and decision-making for several departments, maintain and update inventory costs, and be an effective team member on upcoming accounting and Company projects.

    Reporting Relationships

    **** Reports to the Controller.

    Routinely works with other Accounting Staff members.

    Actively collaborates and interacts internally with Sales. Marketing, Operations, and QC.

    Major Responsibilities

    **** • Thoroughly understand routine transaction flow through the Company's software systems

    • SYSPRO ERP system and its impact on financial reporting, particularly on mfg accounting and transactional flow, monitoring inventory costs and balances, and data extraction for various reporting requirements.
    • Spreadsheet Server and other reporting tools to efficiently report departmental performance, including KPIs, sales and margin, production reporting, etc.

    • Own all assigned areas in the monthly financial closing in a timely manner, reconciling all sub-ledgers.

    • Assist as directed with preparing and analyzing the monthly reporting 'package' and other recurring reporting.

    • Become proficient with costing for production activities & inventories. Work with the Controller and Operations on several inventory functions.

    • Assist the Controller with special assignments and projects as directed, including ERP upgrades, budgeting, capex analysis, costing, margin analysis, and others.

    • Be alert for any issues impacting the organization's finances, and promptly discuss with the Controller.

    Background and Education

    **** • 4-year degree in Accounting.

    • Hands-on experience with integrated ERP systems including inventory & production management, a plus.

    • Excellent skills in Microsoft applications.
