    PIH Health is a nonprofit regional healthcare delivery network founded over 50 years ago. Our two campuses including a 548-bed facility in Whittier and a 199-bed facility in Downey, help to provide services to approximately 1.5 million residents in Los Angeles, Orange County and the greater San Gabriel Valley.

    Performs high-level secretarial duties in an efficient and effective manner, in accordance with departmental objectives, assuring optimal secretarial services are provided to the highest level of productivity.  Her/his activities contribute significantly to the smooth running of the Education Department.

    Required Skills

    • Typing at 50 WPM
    • General office skills
    • Statistical data collection
    • Computer skills with advanced knowledge of word, excel and power-point
    • Effective verbal and written communication
    • Creative writing skills
    • Telephone etiquette (able to handle busy phone - 4 phone lines)
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Medical terminology
    • Problem-solving technology

    Required Experience

    • High school graduate or GED required
    • Typing and computer skills
    • Three years progressively responsible secretarial experience required, with one year of experience in an administrative office.
