    SUMMARY: 

    The objective of the Energy Solutions Specialist position is to utilize experience and expertise in lighting design and controls to increase sales and profitability of NorthEast’s energy business. The Energy Solutions Specialist is a business partner with management and the sales teams developing a go to market strategy for all energy solutions, design build opportunities, and lighting control layout and commissioning. The Energy Solutions Specialist will engage in new technologies including but not limited to EV Charging and Solar and develop the necessary skill set to support business growth in these areas.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support our internal and external customers with development of project bids including lighting layouts, light level calculations, proposing energy saving solutions, and incorporating utility incentives.

    • EV Charging and Solar product knowledge and project support.

    • Deliver value add services by evaluating drawings and recommending solutions based on design specs and utilizing available utility incentives.

    • Perform lighting audits and evaluate existing lighting systems for potential upgrade and/or energy savings while incorporating local utility incentives for lighting and controls to maximize our customers return on investment.

    • Perform lighting control layouts and system startup where required.

    • Foster, create and maintain excellent working relationships with the local utility providers to ensure satisfactory results on incentivized projects.

    • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with lighting and controls manufacturers and their local agents to gain support for product offerings and negotiate pricing.

    • Provide technical information and consult sales teams on proper application of products.

    • May assist in marketing efforts, promotions, etc. for all energy offerings including but not limited to Lighting, EV charging and Solar.

    • Perform other related duties as required by manager.

    Required Skills

    • Strong communication skills along with strong skills in customer service, negotiating, math and computers.
    • Valid Driver’s license

     

    Required Experience

    • Four-year degree, technical schooling or equivalent job experience is required.
    • Knowledge of LED lighting fixtures and applications.
    • Knowledge of lighting control equipment and applications
