    We are seeking an Editor/Content Creator.

    The Editor/Content Creator will join the team of our internal production studio. Our content studio encompasses both editorial (formerly known as CLip) and our production studio (formerly known as Content Lab). This position is responsible for editing and shooting social films, digital videos, internal videos and new business. This job includes creating motion graphics (from 2D to Cinema 4D), photography, filming and lighting of projects. 

    In addition, this role supports business improvement by meeting personal and departmental goals and objectives timely and effectively. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB

    1. DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
    • Editing, tagging, shooting, audio, dub requests, motion graphics and technical support.
    • Content needs include shooting, editing, prop-making and motion graphics and/or animation.
    • Graphics and VFX needs for necessary projects.
    • Organizing video library, archive footage.
    • Audio needs for radio and tagging.
    • Creating treatments to clearly articulate creative vision through capture and editing.
    • Supporting creatives and editors by searching for music or footage.
    • Shooting interviews for new business and other CL events.
    • Be a creative problem-solver, flexible and curious.
    • Strong collaborator willing to take creative challenges and risks.
    • Seeks and experiments with new technology and remains current on industry trends.
    • Keeps projects organized and can follow process.
    • Positive influence within agency culture.

     

    Note: These are the major functions and accountabilities required of the position and are the predominant criteria by which performance will be assessed. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

    WORKING RELATIONSHIPS, AUTONOMY AND SUPERVISION:

    The Editor/Content Creator must interact regularly and collaborate effectively with all personnel of the agency but specifically and regularly with the following teams: Production, Creative, Project Management, Account Management, Planning and New Business.

    Work direction is from Head of Integrated Production. 

    Required Skills

    1. EDUCATION:
    • Not a mandate – experience, a reel and references most important. A bachelor’s degree in film/broadcast production is a plus.

     

    1. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
    • 2-4+ years of editorial and/or production experience, preferably in an agency setting.
    • Solid understanding of production phases and their respective processes.
    • Work product demonstrating experience, creativity and collaboration.
    1. COMPUTER SKILLS:
    • Required: Adobe Premier and full Adobe Suite – specifically AfterEffects, Photoshop and Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, Video Compression, Pro Tools, MS Word, Excel, Database software, QT Pro.
    • Not required but beneficial: Cinema 4D, DaVinci
    1. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
    • After-hours and weekend work may be required.
    1. COMPETENCIES (CHARACTERISTICS AND WORK STYLE) DESIRED INCLUDE:
    • Ability to manage personal workload well – strong time management skills a must.
    • Creative thinker and problem solver.
    • Solid oral communication skills including ability to manage up and give clear points of view in a group setting.
