    Position Summary

    The Perception Manager provides excellent customer service and a superior quality of work. The Perception Manager ensures that the values and culture of VCM, Inc., are demonstrated at all times. The Perception Manger will maintain an appropriate professional demeanor while interacting with all levels of staff, visitors, external clients, and vendors. The Perception Manager will gain valuable experience supporting operations with a growing property management company. Other responsibilities include working with association managers and executive leadership to help create each community’s vision. Clearly define how VCM, Inc. is perceived by our communities. Be the organizational spokesperson representing VCM, Inc. at different events. A successful candidate must be a self-starter and is motivated to advance.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Manages a portfolio of communities (up to 3) monthly activities.

    Oversee and organize events with Vendors.

    Handles all contract fulfillments for events to ensure successful completion.

    Coordinates monthly event calendar for all communities assigned.

    Establish groups, clubs, and events tailored to that community.

    Works closely and effectively with the Executive team to keep them well informed of upcoming events at communities, following up appropriately.

    Handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows through on projects to successful completion, sometimes with deadline pressures.

    Adheres to professional standards as outlined in our policies and procedures.

    Builds relationships with our communities and vendors crucial to the success of the organization.

    Keeps Executive team updated on any changes or issues regarding a specific community.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience: A high school diploma and/or related experience required.

    Communication Skills: Effective business writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly with all levels of staff with an attention to organizational structure and department responsibilities.

    Computer Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel. The ability to create professional reports.

    Personal Characteristics: An effective self-starter with creative problem-solving skills who can perform a variety of work with minimal direction. Exceptional interpersonal skills. The ability to multi-task and to react productively to change and lead by example. A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.

    Professionalism: Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.
