    VDC Electrical Designer - Construction (MEP) - Base Salary to 115k/year - Phoenix, AZ

    • Our client, a construction design consulting firm, is seeking a VDC Electrical Designer to support complex construction projects through detailed 3D modeling, coordination, and BIM workflows. This role focuses heavily on electrical systems modeling and coordination, working alongside MEP teams to deliver accurate, constructible designs.
    • This is a remote position, with collaboration across project teams and support for field operations through model integration and coordination.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using Revit for electrical systems
    • Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks to identify and resolve system conflicts
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and MEP teams to ensure model accuracy and constructability
    • Produce and manage construction drawings, sleeve drawings, and coordinated shop drawings
    • Integrate field data and 3D scans into BIM models to support project execution
    • Maintain LOD 350–400 model standards for electrical systems
    • Utilize BIM 360 (or similar platforms) for collaboration and model sharing
    • Support field teams through remote coordination and model updates
    • Ensure models align with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of VDC/BIM modeling experience within construction
    • 2+ years of electrical project coordination or electrical design experience
    • Proficiency in Revit for 3D modeling of electrical systems
    • Experience performing clash detection using Navisworks
    • Experience working with electrical systems modeling (power, lighting, or related systems)
    • Experience with LOD 350–400 modeling standards
    • Ability to produce and coordinate shop drawings, sleeve drawings, and field layout points
    • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
    • Background in electrical trades OR electrical construction/design environments

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 85k - 115k/year range plus overtime
