About the Team
The Workforce Collaboration Services team is part of our Workforce Technology Experience organization. We support the tools, platforms, and technology experience that our internal workforce relies on every day — from collaboration and productivity tools to endpoint strategy and technology operations. We partner closely with Security, Governance and other Technology teams to ensure the solutions we deliver are secure, well-managed, and positioned to support the organization's evolving needs, including a growing focus on AI-enabled tools and modern, cloud-based ways of working.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a VDI/Data Sensitivity Business Analyst with expertise working in complex, multi-platform environments to assess data classification and usage across business groups org-wide, identify the most critical systems, and develop business recommendations to support the organization's evolving secure data storage, access and use strategy. This includes evaluating the full range of viable solutions — such as VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), enhanced access controls, or other secure data management approaches — and recommending the option(s) best suited to each use case.
This individual will partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand how different groups use organizational systems, where data currently lives, and what risks that creates. They will translate that analysis into clear, actionable recommendations — including a supporting business case — that inform how the organization reduces reliance on physical device storage and which solution(s) best address the associated risks for each business group.
In this role, you will:
Partner with business groups org-wide to inventory the systems, tools, and data usage patterns tied to physical device storage
Assess and classify data sensitivity across groups, systems, and workflows
Identify the most critical systems and highest-risk data storage practices that should be prioritized for migration to VDI
Document current-state and proposed future-state data storage and usage models
Develop recommendations and a supporting business case for VDI migration, including risk, cost, and adoption considerations
Collaborate with Security, Technology and Business teams to validate findings and align recommendations with company data policies
Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements sessions across departments
Present findings and recommendations to technology leadership and stakeholders
Support development of a migration roadmap and related change management considerations
Analyze and document data and process flow across systems, servers, networks, and endpoints to support risk assessment and migration planning
Evaluate and help design privileged access management (PAM) processes and frameworks as part of broader data security recommendations
Support development of auditing and compliance review processes related to data usage, access controls, and end-to-end data security
About You
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, including experience with data governance, data classification/sensitivity assessments, or IT infrastructure/endpoint-related initiatives
Experience analyzing systems usage and data flows across multiple business units or departments
Familiarity with VDI concepts and platforms (e.g., Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop), or a demonstrated ability to learn new technical domains quickly
Strong skills in stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering, and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations
Experience developing use cases, cost-benefit analyses, and executive-ready documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical audiences
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
Experience with endpoint management, IT asset management, or physical device inventory tools
Prior consulting or contract-based VDI Business Analyst experience
Familiarity with higher-education or nonprofit technology environments
