Antivirus Management and Endpoint Encryption – Symantec
· Expert in configuring and troubleshooting of Symantec Endpoint Protection Suite in complex enterprise environment.
· Perform regular health checks and audits to proactively isolate or resolve potential issues, also recommend and Initiate performance improvement initiatives.
· Analyze and resolve escalated problems. Also act as a mentor for the support staff in aligning their technology and non-technology skills to best suited environment being supported.
· Understand general disaster recovery and business continuity practices
· Managing relationships with key and relevant external suppliers, so as to ensure aligned delivery and support activities, optimizing opportunities to derive added value and ensure that costs are appropriately managed.
· Experience of working in an Operational environment alongside other technical and operational teams, ensuring that all parties collaborate effectively to deliver services.
· Experience of SEP components and its deployment architecture.
· Manage Antivirus policies/signatures on servers and endpoints.
· Troubleshoot and evaluate the health of servers and agents, generate report for Antivirus servers including endpoint. Manage the compliance status of endpoint agents.
· Vendor coordination for any new virus definition update, any virus incident in the network.
· Implementing and enforcing antivirus security policy
· Antivirus security monitoring from central logging system and troubleshooting Virus outbreak
· Console based management for antivirus software
· Distribute and standardize the antivirus user Policy
· Periodic network scanning for security risks and reporting on attacks/threats/alarms/policy violations/non-compliant machines.
· Developing & testing the technical remediation strategy
· Activating Encryption for a new user, deleting devices/users.
· Decryption of device Maintaining Backups of the configurations of the Encryption Server
· System break-fix – Hardware and software
· Well versed with IM/PM/CM processes
· Provide support for 247365 managed services environment
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
