VENN is looking for a Producer or Associate Producer with experience in live television, preferably Challenge and Competition shows. The Producer/AP will report directly to the Showrunner, CO-EP, and Project Manager, working extensively as a dedicated "right hand person" to the Showrunner. The Producer/AP must be extremely detail oriented, able to manage multiple channels of tracking and procurement, and obsessive with obtaining a comprehensive understanding of every moving part in the production and creative pipeline. Willingness to have fun and take risks is key in this position! Familiarity with Twitch streamers and gamer culture is a big plus, but not required. 

Producer/AP must be local to Los Angeles. Most work will be done remotely, but Producer/AP will be required to be "boots on the ground" when and where needed. VENN is a full, end-to-end COVID best-practices-compliant Network. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Help execute creative segments under the direction of the Senior Producer and Producer as assigned, as well as work closely with Production team members to ensure budget expectations are met, staffing needs are communicated, and post/deliverables are executed on time
• Track spending, production, and creative pipelines. 
• Work directly with Showrunner as "right hand person" and represent them when Showrunner cannot be present.
• Obtain all necessary releases and process all paperwork for deliverables
• Ensure all moving pieces are in place and good-to-go for weekly live broadcast.
• Perform research as needed. 
• Be resourceful in the procurement of props, photos, music, and video elements that meet clearance/budget requirements, and book/prepare guests
• Assist in booking guests and managing talent. 
• Diligent about production paperwork including shoot reports and music reporting, legal guidelines, journalistic standards, and adhering to the on air working practices.
• Flexibility in role within the team including working across multiple departments as needed
• Strong communicator who is able to work closely with team members and talent, take feedback constructively, and contribute to an environment of communication and accountability

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional live TV experience, preferably challenge/competition/game shows. 
• A passion for live television in general.
• Awareness of trends, viral videos, video games, and memes.
• Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and multitask a wide range of responsibilities
• Creative thinker with the skills and imagination to produce content that engages viewers including games, transformations, and stories about real people
• Ability to follow direction and work independently when necessary
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines within a prescribed budget
• Good interpersonal skills, both in contributing to the creative team as well as in representing the department throughout the company
