  • Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibilities

    ALL RN positions: Must be available for at least one (1) ~ rotation OCONUS annually, plus additional training/screening events.

    · Provide critical care nursing in austere and limited resource environments

    · Provide consultation and advice to patients and customers as the nursing care subject matter expert

    · Administer intravenous fluids, vasoactive medications and blood products

    · Prepare equipment, and aid providers during examination and treatment of patients

    · Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret electronic displays, such as intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, and cardiac rhythms from cardiac monitors, respirators, ventilators, manometers, oxygen pumps, etc.

    · As needed, conduct Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) missions for ICU level patients

    · Assist with the provision of and direction of routine (Sick Call) medicine

    · Performs special staff functions as required

    · Perform basic medical training and instruction when requested

    · Based on qualifications and experience, may function in a leadership position

    · Document care provided and complete medical records in accordance with VIGILINT policy

    MSRT RN: This position will be available to support Mobile Surgical Resuscitation Team activities to include:

    · Work with other members of a small team to provide direct and individualized nursing care to critical and postoperative patients. This includes routine and invasive hemodynamic monitoring, full spectrum medication administration and medical documentation.

    · As needed, conduct Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) missions for ICU level patients

    · Assist with the provision of and direction of routine (Sick Call) medicine

    CCET/FW/RW RN: This position will be available to support Critical Care Evacuation Teams, Rescue Specialist Team - Rotary Wing, and Rescue Specialist Team - Fixed Wing activities to include:

    · Evaluate the condition of critically ill patients upon flight arrival and commencing with treatment

    · Prepare equipment, and aid providers during examination and treatment of patients

    · Manage a ventilator with limited or no additional support

    Required Qualifications:

    MSRT RN:

    · Active SECRET or higher security clearance

    · Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the United States or U.S. Territory

    · Current U.S. Board Certification as a CCRN or CEN

    · U.S. Board Certification as CFRN or TCRN within 2 years of employment

    · TPATC course completion within 3 months of employment

    · Current/active civilian practice to maintain clinical currency during non-deployed periods

    · Minimum of five (5) years U.S. Military or Government Sponsored medical experience

    · Minimum five (5) years' nursing experience

    · U.S. Military or Government Sponsored deployment within the last three (3) years in an austere environment and combat-like conditions

    · Experience shall include deployment in austere and combat-like conditions in Role 1, 2, or 3 facilities

    · United States citizen

    · Current ACLS, PALS, & BLS training through American Heart Association or Red Cross

    · Bachelor level graduate from an Accredited Registered Nursing Program

    · Current United States Passport that will not expire within 1-year of employment

    · Successful candidates may be invited for an in-person assessment process

    · Previous Forward Resuscitation Surgical Team/Forward Surgical Team (FRST/FST) or equivalent deployment experience

    Flight RN:

    · Active SECRET or higher security clearance

    · Current and unrestricted license in the United States or U.S. Territory

    · Current US Board Certification as a CCRN or CEN

    · U.S. Board Certification as CFRN or TCRN within 2 years of employment

    · TPATC course completion within 3 months of employment

    · Current/active civilian practice to maintain clinical currency during non-deployed periods

    · Current PHLTS certification

    · Current ACLS, PALS, & BLS training through American Heart Association or Red Cross

    · Minimum five (5) years’ nursing experience

    · Minimum of three (3) years U.S. Military or Government Sponsored experience

    · Minimum of two (2) years’ of CCRN experience

    · Must meet anthropometric standards of assigned platform

    · Experience shall include deployment in austere or combat-like conditions in Role 1, 2, or 3 facilities

    · United States citizen

    · U.S. Military or Government Sponsored deployment within the last two (2) years in an austere environment and combat-like conditions

    · Bachelor level graduate from an Accredited Registered Nursing Program

    · Previous experience providing critical care patient transport on flight and ground platforms

    · Current United States Passport that will not expire within 1-year of employment

    · Successful candidates may be invited for an in-person assessment process

    Strongly Desired Qualifications:

    · Experience working in the Military Special Operations Community
