Our client is looking to hire a Maintenance Mechanic on 2nd Shift in Ayer, MA. This company is well established we room for advancement and a great company culture.

The Maintenance Mechanic position performs a wide range of activities to provide a safe and productive work place. This role supports the needs of manufacturing and facilities to ensure both are in top working order. Following a strict preventive maintenance schedule to lessen our exposure to downtime related repairs and maintenance.

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager

PRIMARY DUTIES AND JOB EXPECTATIONS:

Ø Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

Ø Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

Ø Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

Ø Adhering to the Preventive Maintenance Schedule.

Ø Perform all repairs following the procedures for Lockout – Tagout.

Ø Properly inspect and maintain shop equipment, in accordance with OSHA regulation.

Desired Qualifications:

Ø 1-3+ years’ maintenance & troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment

Ø Computer skills; Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Lotus Notes.

Location: Ayer, MA Schedule: Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm Pay: $30-$31 plus bonuses
