JOB Summary: The primary purpose of your job position is to implement curriculum, lesson plans, and educational
programs for trainee audiences within areas of expertise. Advises and teaches trainee audiences in a variety of
academic subjects throughout the STNA process. Presents and reinforces learning concepts within a specified
subject or subject area.
JOB Duties:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide instruction on the appropriate course
objective
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to
remain calm during emergency situations
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, visitors, government agencies / personnel and
the general public
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must possess the ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
- Must possess the ability to display patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be
willing to handle trainees with respect
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into
existing nursing practices
- Must be able to relate information concerning a trainee
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
- Must be able to complete all other tasks as assigned by the Administrator and/or Owner
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language
Qualifications: Must be a Registered Nurse or LPN, have a minimum of one year experience in a long term
care facility.
Education and / or Experiences: Must possess a current RN or LPN license
