SUMMARY
The Mine Engineer is responsible for developing, directing, and coordinating the mining operations. The Mine Engineer will support day-to-day activities of production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | - Assists in mine development, including surveying and calculating | | reserves | | - Coordinates stripping, drilling, blasting, and quarrying | | activities. Monitors and verifies yards stripped | | - Assures all mining regulations and agreements are complied with | | - Determines property lines and legal limits of operation in order to | | comply with rights of adjoining property owners and mining laws | | - Conducts and/or collaborates in geological exploration and reviews | | maps and drilling logs to determine feasible limits of mining and | | assuring the proper clerical characteristics as well as physical | | distribution of the sand | | - Direct responsibility for quarry activities | | - Investigates and recommends changes in production, maintenance, and | | operating procedures to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and | | quality at an acceptable cost | | - Designing, developing, and testing of mining related equipment | | - Uses safety checklist equipment cards to assure mobile equipment is | | properly maintained | | - Designs, implements, and monitors mining projects such as fresh | | water supply, pumping, power, and drainage | | - Observes blasting and mining operation and avoid any violation of | | safety regulations | | - Works with management to ensure communications of current mining | | operation | | - All other duties as assigned | | - Bachelor of Science in Mining/Engineering or similar field | | - 1-2 years’ experience preferably in the Mining Industry | | - Basic knowledge of moving equipment operations, including pumping | | and crushing | | - Knowledge of mobile mining equipment | | - Complete and thorough knowledge of various mining methods | | - Skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint | | - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in | | writing; strong people skills; excellent organizational skills | | - Must be able to read, write and speak English at a professional | | level, as needed to safely and correctly perform job duties | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
