About the AV-IT Specialist position
VIVA Creative is seeking an internal AV-IT Specialist. In this role you will plan, configure, oversee, implement, and integrate audio-visual equipment/systems and provide related IT technical support and project management. You're a techie with a broad range of corporate experience and have great judgment when resolving both AV and IT related issues.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Management and troubleshoot for all AV/IT needs; Serve as an internal help desk support
- Determine and resolve problems with the appropriate sense of urgency
- Manage, evaluate, and trouble-shooting for personal computer hardware and software, printers, voice over IP phone services, mobile devices and network components
- Management/troubleshooting of AV equipment, including but not limited to audio, video conferencing, computer networking systems and hardware and repair
- Implement applications and software upgrades, as well as performance troubleshooting for users
- Keep licensing and subscription management up to date for Adobe CC, Office 365 licenses and cloud-based storage
- Provide comprehensive AV support for events (when needed) including setup, testing, operation and removal of AV equipment
- Assist users with connectivity to various AV conferencing solutions (Skype, ZOOM, and/or other related platforms)
- Manage and organize our IT and AV equipment inventory
- Assist in employee IT onboarding and offboarding
- Have excellent knowledge of networking technologies (DNS, DCHP, VPN, etc.)
- Manage our active directory
- Manage apple mac remote desktop
- Support onsite team and clients (might require travel)
- Maintain conference rooms at our headquarters location
ABOUT YOU
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (preferred)
- 3+ years' experience in managing IT and AV equipment and computer software systems. AV production experience is a plus
- Experience in the basic installation, configuration, operation and administration of operating systems, applications and hardware for Macs, PCs, LANs, and Window servers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Apple applications
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of audiovisual equipment including analog/digital audio mixers, wireless microphone systems, seamless video switchers, and projectors/displays
- Ability to work independently and meet frequent deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively
- Detail-oriented; anticipates problems before they happen
- Energetic, multi-tasker with strong organizational skills
- Ability to learn new technology platforms and to oversee their implementation
- Effective communicator: in-person, phone, and in writing
- An understanding of the particular pressures of live programming, including the need for precise adherence to set procedures, flexible work hours as necessary, quick thinking and calm, problem solving, and a passionate desire to produce consistent, creative programming of the highest quality
- Customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Travel required
