Job Description

As a Test Automation Engineer at VIVANT, you will collaborate with the product and engineering teams to develop and improve a suite of automated tests, critical to the functionality, speed and scale of our platform. You must be detail-oriented, passionate about product quality, and a strong advocate for the end-user experience and robust systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong arsenal of skills and a proven track record of quickly implementing, maintaining, and running a reliable automated regression test library. This position can be located anywhere in Europe or the United States.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

• Work closely with the development team to identify and plan test cases that can be automated for new feature releases
• Develop automated tests using Cypress.io and Cucumber
• Develop an automated regression test suite to ensure overall system stability when releasing new features
• Write specialized testing tools for our software platform, as needed
• Build our test automation framework, tools, and technologies, to continually advance the quality bar
• Identify required improvements in the test and development processes; make contributions to our automation tools, successfully addressing specific needs

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU

• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining automation suits for web applications using Cypress and/or Selenium
• Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Node.js, APIs, Linux, Git, BitBucket Pipelines, Postman, Cucumber
• Experience with black-box testing, smoke testing, regression testing, functional testing, and non-functional testing
• Experience with Behaviour-Driven Development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
