    Manufacturing Process Engineer

    Responsible for developing an optimized manufacturing process with the goal of increasing efficiency and productivity to reduce labor costs and improve quality.

    Job Description:

    · Initiate DFM (design for manufacture) and DFA (design for assembly) directives within development group.

    · Provide manufacturing expertise in product development.

    · Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using computer based drafting tools and 3D modeling techniques.

    · Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine ideal manufacturing processes, staff requirements and production standards.

    · Conduct study and analyses of sequence of operations, material flow and production reports and recommend optimizations.

    · Prepare Operational Plans and work flow based upon review of technical documents.

    · Generate graphical representations of industrial production systems

    Essential Skills:

    · BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.

    · Minimum five (5) years of experience in machine tooling and fixture design in an electronics manufacturing environment with proven reliability.

    · Experience in 3D modeling and design for electro-mechanical products.

    · Established knowledge of available tooling and equipment to optimize production

    · Experience in safe work environments and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

    · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools

    Non-Essential Skills:

    · Experience working in a Research and Development environment for electrical components (i.e. printers).

    · Knowledge of Solidworks.

    · Quality oriented with strict attention to detail.

    · Superior written and verbal communication skills

    · Highly organized self-motivated team player

    · Inspecting equipment, structures, or material

    · Inductive and deductive reasoning

    · Critical thinking and strategy development

    · Complex problem solving

    · System analysis and evaluation

    Physical Demands:

    · Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

    · Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

    · Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    · Sitting 50%, Standing 45%, Bending 25%

    · Willing and able to travel
